LinkedIn Audio Event Feature – New!

Linedin audio events…

I just tried the new LinkedIn Audio Event feature and it was really good #LinedinAudio #AudioEvents #OnlineEvents.

I see some really good potential in this new LinkedIn Audio event feature. Especially as you can invite existing LinkedIn contacts to the online events. #OnlineEvents

In 10 minutes of inviting, just 20 people, I had a good turn out so I think there is good potential in this feature, something a similar platform like clubhouse don’t provide!

Unlike clubhouse you can invite more people and don’t have to build connections from scratch, as you already have years of connections on LinkedIn, or at least most entrepreneurs already do!

You also don’t have to write out a full profile, like you do on other platforms like clubhouse, as it links to your existing LinkedIn profile so that’s a time and energy saving plus too.

Thanks to Blanca Perper, Anil Suradkar, Tess Nyman, 🌟Solutions Provider🌟 Gerald “Solutionman” Haman and Jacques Skuteeki, for coming to the impromptu test event and making this spur of the moment event a useful training and learning experience for me!

Hope you guys learnt something too!

Clubhouse News – Clubhouse update for November 2021

iOS Release Notes👋🏽 Thank you so much for being part of the Clubhouse community!

Below is a list of what we shipped in each recent release. Weds, 11/17

Hey, happy Wednesday! We have some new stuff for you to play with today. Closed CaptioningWe want Clubhouse to be a welcoming place where everyone can enjoy the magic that happens when people get together and talk with one another. Closed Captioning mode within Live rooms makes that possible for more people. It starts rolling out today with support for English. We’re also releasing Captions in beta for Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese, Yue Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Turkish.

To enable Closed Captioning, click on the “…” button within a live room and select “Show Captions”. Check it out and please send us any feedback!

Better Discovery for Replays

There’s nothing like experiencing the moment in real time, but replays have helped creators of all types build a catalog of their best rooms for people to enjoy as if they were live, but later. Now we’re also making it easier to find these replays as a user. Yay!

Replays in Search

Replay rooms now show up as a result when you search! If you heard about a great room that you missed, just search for the title, kick back and listen in.

Replay Carousels

We love the hallway because it’s so much more than a feed — at its best, it really feels like walking through the world and seeing all kinds of people around you having wildly diverse conversations.

Today, a new crowd is arriving at the party: carousels featuring replays from the best rooms in your network!

It’s also really good exercise for your finger to swipe sideways instead of just downwards, scientifically, this is a known fact. Enjoy!

Clubhouse News – Clubhouse App Updates

iOS Release Notes

👋🏽 Thank you so much for being part of the Clubhouse community!

Below is a list of what we shipped in each recent release

Mon, 11/8👋 Heads up! We recently updated our ToS, Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines to explain how some of our new features (like Replays) work!

By continuing to use Clubhouse, you are acknowledging the new policies and agreeing to abide by them. Thank you!

Hi all – Happy Monday! We have a huge release for you today. Here is what’s new! Replays!A Clubhouse room is much more than a live podcast. It’s a shared space where people gather and community happens. Creators take questions from the room. They share links to the things that the group is discussing. New people discover the room from the hallway and join midway through. Friends talk for hours about all sorts of topics, and the final room looks nothing like it did when it started. When we set out to build Replays, we wanted to create something that captures the magic and energy of a live Clubhouse room, in ways that non-interactive audio streams alone cannot. Today, we’re starting to roll out Replays on both iOS and Android. Think of it as live, but later — and available to everyone.

Replays are an optional feature that creators can choose to toggle on or off for any public room. When Replays are enabled, anyone on Clubhouse can replay the entire experience whenever they like. They’ll get to see the same elements of a live room like Leave Quietly, and watch the dynamic of the stage and audience shift and evolve throughout the discussion, including PTRs, mic taps, and all the special moments that only happen here. Here are some of the special features you’ll find: Pin links to any segment A few weeks ago we launched Pinned Links, which let room mods pin a link to the top of the room, and update them whenever they like to reflect the changing conversation. This lets them play games, shout out their sponsors, link to polls and surveys, share products, host fundraisers, sell tickets to a real-life event, and gain subscribers for their podcasts or newsletters. With Replays, Pinned Links remain fully interactive, so they update throughout the course of the room, allowing creators to share relevant content and realize value long after the room has ended. Skip to the next speaker In other apps you can skip forward 30 seconds if you’d like to speed things up. This is great, but Clubhouse is about people, and sometimes it’s nice to have more control. With Replays, you can skip to the next speaker. This lets you tap through to your favorite people and focus the room on the parts that matter most to you. You can also pause, play, scrub, clip and listen at 1.5x or 2x. See who’s joining With podcasts, it’s hard to know your audience. With Clubhouse, the live experience is defined by the people in the room. There is something special about seeing the friends around you and caring about who is listening. With Replays it’s no different. As a creator, you can see the people in the room, share that experience with them, and connect with them — even if they listened after the fact. If you ever want to hide yourself from the audience, you can do that by tapping the “…”. Download the source fileRoom creators will have the ability to download the audio so they can edit it and use it wherever they want — as a podcast, a clip on YouTube, an Instagram story, a TikTok video, an embed in their article or newsletter, or anywhere else. The replay will also be discoverable within Clubhouse — from club pages, speakers’ profiles (unless they choose to hide it), search (starting next week), and more. Total Attendee CountA final thing that we’re excited about with Replays is the rollout of Total Attendee Count. You know what’s almost as much fun as saying you had 20 or 200 or 2,000 people in a room at the same time? Being able to share that 20,000 people joined your room over the course of the day! Beginning today, room creators will be able to see (and share) cumulative counts of all the people who came through a room. It’s the first of many new analytics features that we’ll be adding for room creators in the months ahead. Replays will start going live today on iOS and Android. In the meantime, you may already see a few Replays out in the wild. A special thanks to all the amazing Clubhouse creators who helped us test the feature! That’s it for now! As always, thank you for being part of Clubhouse! 🙏🏽

Clubhouse Update / Clubhouse News

Wed, Oct 27

Hi all!

Today we have a little big feature that we are so excited to share with you…📌🔗

Introducing Pinned Links!

Pinned Links allow you to pin a link to the top of your room. If you’re the room moderator, just tap the “…” menu in the upper right, then tap “Pin a Link.” Any moderator can change or remove the link anytime. We suspect that people will use Pinned Links in all sorts of fun ways — like playing games, running polls, and sharing links to YouTube videos.

Just as importantly, we’re excited to see Pinned Links help room creators drive people to subscribe to their Substack, download their podcast, read their book, go see them at The Laugh Factory, discover their new single, buy their product, or support their Patreon or GoFundMe page.

You can learn more on our Pinned Links blog post, or just start a room and try it out! We can’t wait to see how you use it.That’s it for now. As always, thank you for being part of Clubhouse! 🙏🏽
