Teenage activist Greta Thunberg has responded to a vulgar cartoon of her that circulated a few days ago. She commented that the sexual drawing bearing the name of a Canadian oil company is a sign of desperation that “shows we are winning.”

According to HuffPost, the sexual illustration shows a naked female from the back with the word “Greta,” and a man’s hands pulling her braids. It also features the logo of X-Site Energy Services, an oilfield company in Alberta, Canada.

The company’s general manager Doug Sparrow said it has nothing to do with the offending graphic, and that the illustration was created by a third party. HuffPost reported that an oil worker received the drawing in the form of a sticker at a job site.

Canada’s Minister of Culture Lela Sharon Aheer described the sticker as “deplorable.”

“The graphic in the article is completely deplorable, unacceptable and degrading,” she tweeted. “This is not what our province stands for. Whoever is responsible should be ashamed and apologize immediately.”

hey remember that even though there are some horrible people out there, like this guy who distributed a sticker of greta thunberg (who was 17 at the time) being raped, you still shouldn’t attempt to smear their name (Doug Sparrow) or release their contact info pic.twitter.com/clZhaX1ica

The graphic in this article is completely deplorable, unacceptable and degrading. This is not what our province stands for. Whoever is responsible should be ashamed and apologize immediately. I stand with Albertans against this horrendous image. #ableg https://t.co/JisKaWI6lN

I don't know who needs to hear this but no one should be raping people over 17 either. Or making stickers about rape. It's not about free speech. Not just about Doug. Not sure what happened to people and decency. The sticker company, the buyers, the excuse makers. Shame on you.

Whoever was responsible for making the stickers of Greta Thunberg getting raped, I hope you get arrested and charged with child pornography. You can disagree with what she says but you do not have to right to portray anyone in a vulgar position.
