The Soldiers’ Charity | Skydive in Wales charity tandem skydive-in-wales

SKYDIVE IN WALES

Looking for that next big adrenaline rush and a once in a lifetime experience?

Why not jump for charity while doing something incredible, all while supporting the Army’s national charity. Tandem skydiving is the easiest and most hassle-free way to make your first parachute jump. You will be in a dual harness, securely attached to your instructor who will give you a taste of what skydiving is all about. You’ll experience the amazing thrill of freefalling from 12,000 ft and enjoy a long parachute descent.

Skydive Swansea has been flying high over the glorious Gower Peninsular in South Wales since 2007. Carl Williams (ex army) the Chief Instructor has been involved in the sport for over 30 years. With over 100 hours in free fall & over 13,000 jumps, he has been a tandem instructor for approximately 4,500 tandem jumps. Carl has also been instructing Accelerated Free Fall solo jumps since the early 90’s. Throughout his career, Carl has specialised in many aspects of the sport including flying parachuting aircraft and representing Great Britain in World Championships. Carl has won both team and individual awards in the National Championships between 1993 and 2018.

“What a fantastic day! Wonderful people and such a brilliant experience. Thank you!”

Help ‘The Pituitary Foundation’ to save lives! • Introbiz Members News – Cardiff Business News

The Pituitary Foundation are doing a petition which everyone can sign. It is about changing the name ‘diabetes insipidus’ to pituitary insipidus – desmopressin dependent’ (PIDD).

The term ‘diabetes insipidus’ is very often mistaken for diabetes mellitus by health care professionals (HCPs) and the general public. The two conditions unfortunately share ‘diabetes’ within them, although they are completely unrelated and mean very different things.

The challenge for diabetes insipidus patients is when they need hospital attention (A&E, surgery, or on a hospital ward). Many HCPs are unaware of DI and assume the patient has diabetes mellitus. The consequences include their blood sugars being checked, being given ‘diabetic diets’ etc. instead of being given the treatment they need…
