A review of Wales’ Biggest Business Exhibition last month…

Recently Introbiz hosted the biggest business exhibition Wales has ever seen on Thursday, September 25th at the Cardiff City House of Sport.

From 8am until 4:30pm, the exhibition saw over 2,000 excited visitors walk through the door to enjoy a different sort of business day.

With over 200 exhibitors, 6 keynote speakers and many seminars hosted throughout the day, there was plenty of business and networking advice for everyone. The day kicked off with a networking breakfast where over 300 guests enjoyed a breakfast catered by Spiros Caterers and 2 hours of networking.

The exhibition was officially opened at 10am by Mr Producer’s very own Stifyn Parry and a speed networking session shortly followed his opening speech.
There was an array of different stands to visit and browse. Accountants, marketing, shoes, clothes, printers, one exhibitor was even offering soothing massages!

The exhibition’s 2014 keynote speakers were Shed Simove, an inventor, entrepreneur and motivational speaker. Daniel Priestley, an author of 2 bestselling books, Key Person of Influence and entrepreneur, Darshana Ubl, founder of Entrevo, Key Person of Influence and entrepreneur. Kevin Green, Secret Millionaire and entrepreneur, Thomas Power, founder of Scredible and top social media guru and finally, Iestyn Davies of the Federation of Small Businesses.

We were also fortunate to have Julie James, Assembly Member for Swansea West, and Deputy Minister for Skills and Technology. She spoke about the importance of connecting local businesses and thanked Tracey and Paul Smolinski, founders and Managing Directors of Introbiz, for hosting the exhibition and bringing local companies together.

The event saw countless seminars throughout the day, offering free business advice which covered an array of business related topics.

The exhibition was followed by a VIP after party at Maddison, Cardiff where a charity auction was hosted by Leigh Jones, a presenter at Capital FM.
The auction raised over £4,000 for two local charities, the Cardiff City Community Foundation and FA Wales’ Level Playing Field. The evening was all about raising awareness of the hard and good work these charities do on a daily basis. The after party also saw local star James Williams and international 80’s pop star Kym Mazelle take to the stage to perform for everyone.

The day was all about boosting local businesses, raising brand awareness and to gain as much advice on how to market and protect your business. It was also a great opportunity for local businesses to connect with one another and to learn how to network effectively.

Tracey and Paul Smolinski said, “We are so happy with how the exhibition went. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. It certainly looked as though lots of business connections were made, and that everyone took something away from the day. We’d like to thank everyone who made the day the great success that it was and we can’t wait to create something bigger and better in 2015!”
