Record Demand for England Rugby World Cup 2015 Tickets

England 2015 is set to become the best supported Rugby World Cup ever after a record demand for match tickets.

Tournament Organisers England Rugby 2015 can reveal that 950,000 tickets were sold in the September General Sale. There were applications for more than 5,000,000 tickets in total, and ballots were run wherever demand exceeded supply to ensure the fair allocation of tickets. Fans who applied in September will be notified of the results of their ticket applications on October 25 and payment will be taken from October 27.

23 of the 48 matches went to ballot in every price category and every single match went to ballot in at least one category. England v Australia, England v Wales, Wales v Australia, New Zealand v Argentina, both semi-finals and the Rugby World Cup Final were the hottest tickets, and fans who are unsuccessful in the ballot will be given priority when remaining tickets go back on sale next month.

If you did apply for tickets we’d like to thank you for your support, and remember that if you don’t get the tickets you applied for you’ll have another chance to buy RWC 2015 tickets when they go back on sale next month.
