Apple’s recent Gather Round event saw a new trio of iPhones revealed to its audience.
Though there was no mention of any next-generation iPads, Apple’s latest iOS 12.1 appears to contain a code that could possibly hint at a fresh entry slated for fall, discovered by 9to5Mac.
The new ‘Setup’ app that runs after you initiate the device carries the code “iPad2018Fall” inside, suggesting an October release.
Apple, however, has remained silent on when its subsequent tablets will be released and little is known about their designs. Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo did share though that the upcoming iPad Pro could carry USB Type-C.
The company traditionally hosts an iPad event every October, so time will tell if you can expect anything coming from this category of Apple products.
